Museums

We create audiovisual experiences at the service of museographic projects: from simple educational videos to complex immersive installations. Here you can take a look at our creative and production process, with examples of very diverse projects.

Creativity and production

MORE INFO(+)

Client: MAN-Empty for Qatar Museums

Depending on the project, we can take charge of the entire production process or just the creativity. For the “Qatar today” gallery, from the National Museum of Qatar, we took charge of all the creative direction: from the initial sketches to the development of the project, writing of scripts and storyboards, filming, editing and supervision on site.

Temporary and permanent

Agency: KEN for the Goverment of Navarra

Some of our installations are permanent, others are associated with temporary exhibitions or pavilions. During the Zaragoza Expo we created an immersive installation that constituted the central space of the Navarra pavilion.

Ideas to win

Client: Empty for ITAÚ Bank (project)

We develop proposals to tender. We create images, storyboards, mockups, teasers and references that allow us to defend the proposal. These are images of our “Data Garden” proposal for the ITAÚ Bank.

Space and story

MORE INFO(+)

Client: Ayuntamiento de Castelló

We conceive experiences based on the space and available resources. And always keeping in mind that each museum tells a unique story in which we must integrate ours. Those spaces are sometimes huge, others tiny. We adapt to them. The most radical extreme is this installation in a bomb shelter: we used the limitation generated by the available space to create a claustrophobic and exciting tale, perfectly adapted to the hair-rising content.

Stories within stories

MORE INFO(+)

We never conceive our work as something isolated. Our story is always included within another larger one, that of the museum. We know how to work with multidisciplinary teams, integrating our content within the global museum project. For the Museum of the Necropolis of Puig des Molins we made a series of audiovisuals that accompanied the entire itinerary. Not only the content was integrated into the museum script, but the visual style itself was developed adapting to the characteristics of the entire building.

CRAFTWORK AND TECHNOLOGY Craftwork and technology

MORE INFO(+)

Client: UTE Empty-Acciona

We develop unique solutions taking into account the space, the flow of the visitors, the content briefing, the goals set by the client. That leads us to create tailored solutions in which we like to combine materials and low technology. For the National Archaeological Museum, in Madrid, we produced an immersive installation composed of hundreds of synchronic and interrelated images according to a detailed script, that was developed under the supervision of the client. The supports were produced in an artisan way tailored to the available space.

There is no small project

MORE INFO(+)

Client: Mancomunidad de la Comarca de Pamplona

Our goal is the emotion within each person. This goal is individual and global at the same time. We throw ourselves into both a large project with a large budget, and into a small installation that we can do with our own hands. For a recycling center we produced this small installation. Arena developed the idea and produced the content, which is screened mapped onto a surface built with objects collected from the garbage. Our team took charge of the entire process, from the script to the final structure.

There is no big project

MORE INFO(+)

Some projects take place in an environment of calm and control. Others force us to develop risky and complex production processes. To create an immersive installation related to the running of the bulls, we shot at high speed with real fighting bulls on a set with more than 30 meters of linear chroma key.

We film

MORE INFO(+)

Client: MAN Empty Joint Venture para Qatar Museums

Our documentary experience encourages us to always film our own content. On set or anywhere in the world, we like to take charge of the filmed content that adapts perfectly to the global idea of the installation. For the National Museum of Qatar we filmed hundreds of interviews in very different languages. The filming was designed to be correctly integrated into the final installation.

Recreations

MORE INFO(+)

Sometimes it is necessary to make recreations using elements of fiction cinema. For the Prehistory thematic area of the National Archaeological Museum, we produced videos in which it was necessary to create prosthetic make-up, to use trained wolves and the digital insertion of frozen landscapes.

Content and space adaptation

MORE INFO(+)

Client: Museum of the University of Navarra (project)

We always start from an available space. We generate on it a memorable experience from the contents defined by the museum project. For the Museum of the University of Navarra we proposed a unique way of displaying the work of José Ortiz Echagüe. We designed specific supports adapted to the architecture of the museum and the work of the photographer.

Documenting a muuseum

MORE INFO(+)

Sometimes our documentary side meets the universe of the museums; we know how to film in fragile environments, how to capture the essence of a museum, how to adapt the audiovisual narrative to the story that is behind a museum project. An example of that is the behind the scenes we did in the renovation project of the Archeological National Museum, in Madrid.
