Dardara

Dardara brings together two powerful universes: that of Berri Txarrak and that of Marina Lameiro. Berri Txarrak, a rock band with 25 years of success behind them, decides to disband at the height of their career. To say goodbye to their fans, they embark on one final world tour. Marina Lameiro, a filmmaker with a sharp eye and an authentic narrative voice, joins them on this journey.

Marina reveals the creative world of Gorka Urbizu, the band’s frontman, as well as the lives of diverse individuals in places as far-flung as Germany, Mexico, Japan, and the United States — people who are deeply moved by the music of a band that sings rock in Basque.
The film, produced by Arena and led by Itziar García Zubiri, will open the Punto de Vista International Documentary Film Festival and from there begin its journey through cinemas and festivals. The world of Berri Txarrak, captured on film by Lameiro, thus meets a universal audience.
